It is almost that time of the year to say goodbye to 2023 and say hello to 2024! Along with a new year comes new expectation and resolutions to help us get there. Some people will set goals to move up in their jobs, some will try to lose that 20 pounds that they gained this holiday season, others have travel goals, whatever resolution or goals you are setting out to accomplish this year we hope you accomplish it. However, before you get too invested in your own personal goals, we are here to remind you to set some goal for your vehicle…yes, I said your vehicle! Just like you, your beloved ride has some resolution and only you can help it get there! So do your vehicle a favor and check out our list below and make sure to help your ride reach its goals! Happy New Year!

Fiore Volkswagen’s New Year Resolutions:

Get your vehicle’s body into shape:

  • Getting into shape isn’t anything unheard of for a new years resolution so it’s not too weird to want to get your vehicle’s body into shape too! No that doesn’t mean your ride will be hitting the gym with you but maybe the body shop! A simple vehicle maintenance regime, including measuring your tire pressure, checking for leaks once a month, taking your vehicle in for regular tune-ups and reading the owner’s manual, will help you save money and fuel, and protect the environment.

Be a fuel-efficient driver:

  • A little stress relief never hurt anyone, actually, it usually helps them! Am for your vehicle! Aggressive driving and speeding can increase your fuel consumption by as much as 35 percent. Slowing down, giving yourself more time and planning your routes ahead of time are just a few of the many things you can do to save money and fuel, and lower your vehicle’s emissions.

Kick the idling habit:

  • Kick bad habits this new year! One of the worst habits you can have is running your vehicle when it is unnecessary to do so! It’s bad for your wallet, your vehicle, the environment and the health of people around you. Contrary to popular belief, the best way to warm up your car is to drive it at a moderate speed.

Check your tire pressure:

  • Winter can be tough on your vehicle, especially on your tires. Cold temperatures decrease the air pressure in tires, which adds to the rolling resistance caused by snow and slush. Measure tire pressure regularly, especially after a sharp drop in temperature.
  • In fact, driving on under-inflated tires can reduce the life of your tire, costing you more money and more headaches…there goes that stress-free new year resolution!
