The Jeans Bug was a popular Volkswagen model back in the 1970s that garnered a great deal of attention for its look and style that fit well within the theme of that era. Now, Volkswagen is looking to pay homage to that model through a new 2016 Beetle Denim that will be produced through a limited edition run later this year. Recently, Volkswagen released a few more details about this model including its MSRP of $25,995* plus destination ($820) and several other performance and design facts.

Given the name of this model you can obviously expect denim to be a main design theme. The exterior will include a convertible top that has been made with a special Dark Blue fabric that is textured to look like denim. The interior will include seats lined in blue denim cloth with dark blue accents and white piping and jeans-inspired seat pockets with small red Beetle flags. All of the models will also be designed in either a Pure White or Stonewashed Blue exterior color.

A few of the standard features of the 2016 Beetle Denim are a rearview camera display, iPhone® and iPod® device connectivity, Volkswagen MB II infotainment system, Bluetooth® technology, a USB multimedia interface, and a 5.0-inch resistive touchscreen display with AUX-in, SD card slots.
