Vintage Volkswagen Advertisements Play Role In Success of Beetle Sales

In the more than six decades since the iconic Volkswagen Beetle was first introduced it has continued to be one of the most popular models in the brand’s lineup. A big part of what gave this model such instantaneous sales success in the U.S. was the long-running advertising campaign that the brand ran for this model that highlighted the affordability, unique, compact design, and uncomplicated build of the Beetle.

Over the years, the brand’s advertisements have continued to help promote the success of this popular model, but it was this classic ads from back in the day that truly helped to catapult the Beetle’s initial success.

Recently, a number of vintage VW advertisements were released on the King Rose Archives Youtube channel, a channel dedicated to releasing classic automobile footage and ads. Check out the video below to see one of the first ads that helped to launch the success of this model.
