Two Volkswagen Golf Models Recognized For Safety

The impressive safety capabilities of Volkswagen vehicles, especially the models in the award-winning Gold lineup have been recognized once again. CBS News recently released a list outlining their selections for the “10 Safest Cars You Can Buy” and the 2015 Volkswagen Golf and Golf GTI were both included. Along with a range of standard safety features, each model named to this list was also recognized by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and/or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The IIHS gave a Top Safety Pick + to both models when they are equipped with the optional front-collision warning system. The 2015 VW Golf also comes standard with safety features that include Intelligent Crash Response System, Hydraulic Brake Assist, LATCH System, Passenger Occupant Detection, Electronic Brake-Pressure Distribution, Child Safety Locks, Engine Braking Assist, Anti-Lock Braking System, Immobilizer Theft-Deterrent System, Brake Override System, Electronic Stability Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, and Airbag System.
