U.S. sales for Volkswagen of America during the month of September amounted to an overall total of 26,141 units. Once again, the vehicles in the Golf family were the best-selling models for the brand, reaching a combined total of 5,251 units sold for the month. Additionally, the brand’s Year-To-Date (YTD) sales reached a total of 264,215 units sold so far this year.
“We would like to thank dealers and customers for the support of the Volkswagen brand,” said Mark McNabb, chief operating officer, Volkswagen of America. “Volkswagen will continue to work diligently to regain trust and confidence in our brand.”
Volkswagen of America Sales:
- Sales of the Beetle Coupe reached 890 units
- Sales of the Golf reached 1,193 units
- Sales of the Golf GTI increased by 14 percent with 1,825 units
- Sales of the Golf R reached 462 units
- Sales of the Golf SportWagen reached 1,428 units
- Sales of the Jetta Sedan reached 7,746 units
- Sales of the Passat reached 7,228 units
- Sales of the Tiguan increased by 77.5 percent with 2,972 units
