February may have been a shorter month even with the Leap Day but that did not stop the Volkswagen brand from achieving a total sales result of 22,321 units. Last month marked the best-ever February sales results for the Tiguan and the e-Golf with sales rising 78.4 percent to reach 3,245 units for the Tiguan and rising up 52.3 percent to reach 198 units for the e-Golf. Additionally, sales of the Golf GTI came to 1,633 units, the Jetta sedan came to 9,375 units, and the Touareg came to 403 units.
“We were pleased to see increased retail sales at our dealerships in February, supported by vehicles like the Tiguan,” said Mark McNabb, chief operating officer, Volkswagen of America. “Even though overall sales were down due to seasonal fleet business, we are encouraged by showroom activity this month.”
