The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) recently received a $25,000 donation from Volkswagen Group of America Inc. (VWGoA) which the group will use to help fund several of their signature events and educational programs. VWGoA is no stranger to the efforts of the BGCGW, in fact, they have been serving as a community partner for this organization for the last 12 years.

“We truly value our partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and the opportunity it provides to make a positive difference in the lives of youth in our communities,” said Machelle Williams, General Manager, Diversity and Organizational Development, VWGoA.

Over the years, VWGoA has made several monetary contributions and for the past three years they have run a Leadership Camp at their Herndon Headquarters for BGCGW students. At this camp the students are educated on different aspects of the brand as well as various career opportunities that are available in the automotive industry.
