Volkswagen Releases ‘Wagon Romance”
The love for the Volkswagen Golf SportWagen has the power to bring together as the brand has highlighted in a new advertisement for the 2015 model called “Wagen Romance”. The advertisement shows that a chance encounter can lead to a lifelong connection and that the love for cars, amongst other things, can play a large role in the life of a couple.
In the spot, we see a young woman who is struggling to get her bike off the top of her Golf Sportwagen receive help for a man who pull over in his own Golf SportWagen with a bike strapped to the top. Through the rest of the 30-second spot, we see the same couple go through a variety of stages with their Golf Sportwagen part of the story. As the time goes by we see them heading down the road with two bikes strapped to the top, then snowboards and surfboards indicating that they are traveling through the seasons together. Later we see them emptying moving boxes out of their vehicle, driving away from their wedding and eventually the same vehicle again, but with three bikes strapped to the top.

2015 Volkswagen Passat TDI Clean Diesel
The 2015 Volkswagen Passat TDI Clean Diesel and its impressive capabilities is part of why Volkswagen has officially become the number one selling diesel car brand in America*. In a new advertisement, the brand is highlighting the impressive fuel economy rating and fuel tank that can power the vehicle for up to 814 highway miles on a full tank**.
In the spot, we see three boys enter a gas station and proceed to make a complete mess of the store by destroying the snacks, overpumping the slushie and nacho cheese machines and even having a pixi stick fight. We then see that they are left unattended because their mother was busy filling up the car. The commercial then pans to a mother driving her 2015 Passat TDI Clean Diesel while her three boys are buckled in where she can see them. The point of the humorous spot is to emphasize that with less need to stop to refuel there is less of a chance that the kids will be left to their own devices.

Volkswagen Hints At Return of Microbus
The possible return of the iconic Volkswagen Microbus was strongly hinted at by VW product-development board member Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neusser during a group interview he recently took part in. Specifically, Neusser discussed the brand’s desire to create more “lifestyle vehicles” by using some of the brand’s most notable models such as the Microbus and the Beetle.
“We are actually thinking about how we can take all of the advantages of MQB and put it into a Microbus genetic code.” What is the genetic code of the Microbus? “First, the wide, solid D-pillar; second, the boxy design of the center section; and, thirdly, the front end must have a very short overhang—the distance from the A-pillar to the front end must be very short. Otherwise the hood is too long and it doesn’t look like a Microbus,” Neusser said. “That makes it hard, because this technical architecture of the Microbus with its rear engine is not anymore fitted to what we are doing with our mainstream architecture [and] where we have the greatest flexibility of different powertrains.”
In addition to its classic Volkswagen status, Neusser also stated that the Microbus would also be helpful in Volkswagen’s mission to create a long-range electric model. Due to its larger size, this model would have the ability to contain a larger electric battery that would make long-range driving possible.

“The Choice” Is Clear In New VW Ad
In one of the latest Volkswagen ads, titled “The Choice”, a young man stumbles upon a potentially history-changing invention made by an elder relative. We see the young man pull up to an old house in the new Volkswagen Golf GTE and learn that most of the family thought the old man was crazy. Of course there’s the requisite hidden entrance behind the bookcase that leads to the invention. The young man discovers what appears to be a transportation device that would eliminate the need for travel as we know it, including cars. The young man (like us) can’t imagine a world without the perfection of German engineering and decides to destroy the invention. Watch the ad below.

Volkswagen has released an instructional video on the Navigation System for the 2015 VW Golf SportWagen. In the video, Marketing Support Specialist for Group Customer Quality, Will Garrett takes viewers on a step-by-step process on how to work this advanced system.
In the video, he will show you how you can enter the address manually while the vehicle is in park, and how to use the voice command options to find a new address while you are in transit. The system can also help to find a point of interest when you are not looking for a specific address, but rather the nearest gas station, restaurant, coffee shop or more.
