The Hollidaysburg Pumpkin 11th Annual Festival is just around the corner and we can’t wait! This year, on October 15th, from 10am-4pm, there will be live entertainment on two stages, pumpkin foods, pumpkin games and pumpkin crafts! Bring the kids and their friends to spend a fun filled day with our neighbors from Hollidaysburg, Altoona, Johnstown, State College and Greensburg, PA!

Care For Your Car This Fall
Regular vehicle maintenance is important all year long, but especially this time of year as we head into winter. October is Fall Car Care Month, and Fiore Volkswagen and the Car Care Council want to help make sure you’re ready to take on anything this winter. Check out the top ten list of maintenance tips below, and make sure you stop by our Service Department with any questions or schedule an appointment if you notice something isn’t working right!

2017 Volkswagen Jetta Page Now Available
The 2017 Volkswagen Jetta Research & Review Page that Fiore Volkswagen told you we were going to release has now officially been made available. This new page is filled with an incredible amount of details about this vehicle that will help you to decide which of the four trim levels is the right one for you. The four trim level options include the S, SE, SEL, and GLI and there are three engine options available depending on which trim you choose. A few of the features options that you might also find, again depending on the trim, include Electronic Brake-Pressure Distribution, LATCH System, Engine Braking Assist, Cruise Control, Bluetooth® Technology with Audio Streaming for Compatible Devices, Heated Windshield Washer Nozzles, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio with Three-Month Trial Subscription, Automatic Headlights with Coming/Leaving Home Feature, Adaptive Cruise Control, and 18” Mallory Alloy Wheels.
This Beetle Is As Fast as a Ferrari
It reached a maximum speed of 205.122 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. It produces 543 horsepower and 421 pound-feet of torque. What kind of car is it? A Ferrari? Lamborghini? Hellcat? Nope, it’s the cute and sporty Volkswagen Beetle!
This modified Volkswagen Beetle, appropriately named the Beetle LSR (Land Speed Record) reached the fastest speed ever recorded by a Beetle. Many changes were made to help the Beetle reach top speed, including new turbochargers, camshafts, pistons, and a modified cylinder head for the Beetle’s 2.0L Four-Cylinder Turbocharged Engine.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the fastest Beetle on the block at Fiore Volkswagen, but we do have the new 2016 Volkswagen Beetle! Stop by for a test drive.
Will VW’s MEB EV Will Be Bigger Than the Beetle?
The Mondial De L’Automobile 2016 — the Paris Motor Show 2016 for you non-French speakers — is quickly approaching. Beginning October 1, the biggest car brands in the world will gather to reveal their latest innovations and concepts. Among them will be our friends at Volkswagen, and this year is going to be big. How big, you ask? Volkswagen has gone so far as to say its newest electric concept, the VW MEB EV will be as revolutionary as the Beetle.
Volkswagen’s MEB platform, which was announced this February and the German acronym for Modular Electric Lineup, will feature a series of new cars built around a lithium-ion battery, with an increased wheelbase, shortened overhangs, and an open interior design space. Further visions for the vehicles in the MEB series include an HD display and gesture controls based on Volkswagen’s assertion that “the car of tomorrow must feel like a mobile device on wheels.”
The MEB EV will include these features, along with an estimated electric range of 373 miles. This vehicle will begin production by the end of 2019 as a 2020 model year vehicle, and will help Volkswagen reach their goal of selling 2-3 million electric vehicles by 2025.
“We want to use Paris, basically, as the lighthouse to show you where we are heading as a brand,” he said. “There are so many tremendous things happening at VW at the moment. We are taking big, bold decisions fast to really get the brand moving and we are excited to show you the first glimpse of that at the Paris Motor Show.”

VW #PinkBeetle Supports Breast Cancer Awareness
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year, Volkswagen of America is teaming up with Giuliana Rancic and The Pink Agenda to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research. They will be auctioning off a Limited-Edition 2017 Volkswagen #PinkBeetle. The winner bidder will have the opportunity to be the first owner of this vehicle before it hits dealerships in October and attend The Pink Agenda’s Annual Gala in New York City. Plus, all proceeds from the winning bid will go directly to breast cancer research, granting wishes to women undergoing treatment, and increasing awareness of the disease.
“We believe that engaging today’s generation can go a long way toward finding tomorrow’s cure, so we are thrilled to collaborate with Volkswagen for the auction of the #PinkBeetle to support in raising awareness of the disease and much needed funds for breast cancer research,” said Lucretia Gilbert, Executive Director of The Pink Agenda. “The Pink Agenda has contributed nearly $2 million to research, and this campaign will accelerate our efforts to make breast cancer a thing of the past,” Gilbert continued.
The #PinkBeetle, was originally revealed as a concept at the 2015 New York Auto Show, but went into production after such an overwhelming response from Beetle fans across the country. The special-edition Beetle features glossy black mirror caps and running boards, a black dashpad with pink accents, Pink Club cloth seats, pink piping, and of course, a dazzling pink paintjob.
