What You Should Be Testing During Your Test Drive | Hollidaysburg, PA

Summer is in full swing, and we are just a couple of weeks away from August! That means your opportunity to upgrade to a new ride this summer is quickly approaching, and lucky for you, our team is here to help! Whether you’re looking for a new or pre-owned VW, we have an impressive selection of vehicles to choose from, despite the inventory shortage many dealerships are facing! But before you stop in for a test drive, ask yourself what you should be looking for on said test drive. Not sure what you should be looking for? No problem! Take a peek below and make a checklist for your next VW test driver, right here at Fiore VW!

Do your homework.

Think about what type of model is right for your lifestyle and your budget. If you have a family, a crossover or SUV might be best for you. Think about fuel mileage. If you drive a lot, perhaps a sedan is right for you. Or if you are a hardworking person ready to take on any job, a Ford pickup is just right for your tasks.

Check out the car.

From the exterior to the interior, take a minute to check it out. Be sure to check for things like scratches or dings on the exterior. On the inside, look at the features. Everything from convenience to safety - you want to know what this vehicle is equipped with.

Comfort is key.

When you slip behind the wheel, are you comfortable? Do you fit in the vehicle? Is there enough room for you? The biggest thing, for me, is being comfortable. So, check out everything from the front seats to the back seats. Don’t be afraid to check out the trunk to ensure that you’ll have enough space for those bulky items or gear when you’re ready for an adventure.

Drive the car.

We recommend taking the vehicle for a test drive on one of your normal routes. If most of your commute is on a highway, city streets, or back roads - take the vehicle there. Here, you are looking for how the vehicle rides, the handling, stability, and more things our team can point out. If you feel the vehicle isn’t for you, just ask what we recommend - our team is here to help you!

How To Keep Your Toyota Working Properly This Winter! | Hollidaysburg, PA

Prepare yourself; the countdown has begun—it's time to gear up your vehicle for the impending winter season! This week, we've compiled several essential tips to keep your vehicle in top-notch condition throughout the season, along with what you'll need in case of an emergency. Find all these valuable tips and more below. And if you're considering upgrading your ride this season, look no further than Fiore Volkswagen! The Volkswagen Sign Then Drive Event is in full swing, offering numerous ways to save on a brand-new Volkswagen that aligns with your lifestyle and needs. Don't miss out; hurry on in, and let's get you behind the wheel! Swap out regular tires for winter tires. Snow or not, when temperatures fall below 45 degrees, winter tires are recommended. They're made to give you better traction while turning or stopping on cold pavement. Check your tire pressure weekly. Driving on underinflated tires can cause them to wear down prematurely and lose traction on icy or slippery surfaces. Your tires lose a pound of pressure with every 10-degree drop in temperature. Always keep your fuel tank half full. During winter weather, it's important to keep at least half a tank of fuel in the vehicle in the event of an emergency or if you get stuck in the snow and wait for assistance. Pack an emergency to-go kit. We encourage you to keep an extra coat, blanket, boots, gloves, and a hat inside your vehicle when the temperatures drop. We also recommend keeping a flashlight, first aid kit, and emergency contact information or AAA handy. Protect your windshield wipers. If you park outdoors, leave the wipers in the raised position to prevent them from freezing to the windshield. Never use your wiper blades to remove ice, snow, or frost from the windshield; use an ice scraper instead.
